SDPOA Christmas Party
We had a great shoot yesterday for Marlene and Adam's engagement shoot! This one was a little different since they did their "engagement" nearly a year after the wedding. A year later and still showing their wedding bliss!
I had the opportunity to snap some pictures of Lindsay the other day for ALY Warriors (Always Love Yourself). After trekking out to Temecula, California and snapping the pictures, I can assure you that Lindsay will kick your butt into shape! Check our her site for personal training if you're in the area. Here are a few snap shots from the shoot:

Theresa and Rick met on a blind date of all things. They hit it off famously and today I had the pleasure of shooting their engagement session! We went to Balboa Park and wandered around before we found some great spots for shots. Here are some of the keepers!

Here are a few snippets from Brittny and Eric's engagement pictures! Eric managed to pull off every man's dream of picking up a girl in the service industry by wooing Brittny while she served him coffee at Starbucks! We took them to Balboa Park in San Diego, California for some nice photos.
Here's a freebie. Brittny and Eric have these two dogs that go *nuts* over bubbles.

Meet Michelle and Jennard. They met 10 years ago in high school. They knew each other back then but didn't make the leap until several years ago. They decided to go back to where they first met though for a great engagement!

Taylor is a new addition to Mike and Brianna's family. She's an adorable bundle of joy and only a few weeks old. Already, her mother is into dressing her up to the mutual horror of her and her father.

Equipment Used:
Canon 7D
Reflector (white side)
Canon 580EX II (for a couple of shots of her room)
I went out to the desert with Alice today to shoot some guns and then pictures. I've had an idea for this shoot for a while. A few years back I was traveling through Peru and had a chance to see the Nazca Lines. They are massive ancient man made lines in the ground forming geometric shapes and animal designs. It reminded me of alien crop circles at the time so I sought to incorporate it here. I wanted to go for a totally alien look here like she's on some strange planet being beamed up.

Fight night!
Battle of the Badges! I took a trip over to Pala Casino in Temeula the other night to shoot pictures of law enforcement charity boxing and MMA matches. The charity was put on for Cops 4 Kids, a Temecula based charity organization. Several different police agencies, fire departments, corrections officers, and border patrol/ICE participated. These are regular first responders tossing on gear to knock each other for a good cause. Taking photos always gives me the best seat in the house and I like to brag that I was the first to see some of the hardest hits!

I got a chance to shoot pictures of The Kooks and Yawn playing at the House of Blues in San Diego, California the other night. It was a blast! My little sister got me onto The Kooks after she studied abroad a year in Brighton, England. The Kooks are originally from Brighton, and are pretty popular back in England. They are kind of a mix of pop, rock, and everything else including the kitchen sink. Example: The Kooks - Always Where I Need To Be. Yawn is a mix of indie-pop, synth, electronic, and trance. Example: Yawn - Kind of Guy.
The show was completely sold...
